In case you haven’t notice this is my latest post since last December 2009. I’ve been trying to juggle my time with my fulltime job, freelance job and blogging time in one day. This does not includes the hours I spent with the preventive maintenance of my Qlick Cafe – Internet Shop and the time I spent with my family. Although, I’ve been earning some money with my website development and consultancy job online, but I really wanted to earn it through blogging. I wanna proved to myself that their is a pot of gold at the other side of the blogosphere (hehehe) 
. I really wanted to prove that we can really earn cold cash in blogging. So please join me to my quest as we reveals the secret of earning money thru blogs.
Ok to balance everything, I need to develop a new schedule and set my goals. So I started answer the below question:
What are the activities that I need to do to be able to generate traffic for this blog?
Based on what I have learned from the Seminar that I have attended last September 2009 on Ms. Janette Toral Online Seminar entitled “Making Money on Blogging.”(in which I have mentioned in my other blog), to take care of our blog we have to:
- Write a relevant content.
- Don’t let it lose its soul – it is about you!
- Build readership and community.
- Be socialble.
- Promote in Social Networks
- Comments in other Blogs
- Mingle with fellow Bloggers
- Join or Organize contest and events.
- Be Open to Opportunities.
On my next article I’ll be posting about How much Time an Average Blogger Needs to Spend in Maintaining his Blogs.
Meantime, if you have some tips not listed above, sharing it would be very healthy.

Dedication and focus is the key for a successful blog to make money online. Search Engine Optimization and News Blogging are the fastest ways to generate traffic. Higher Traffic = Higher Earnings.

I’d suggest you check your stats every now and then to know how well all your efforts are doing. It’s nice to see your advertisement account increasing, but for non monetary self-fulfillment, it’s also a joy to see how many more readers, or visits you get and from where they’re from or what blog posts were the most read.
I just found out that my blog http://marikinalife.com has gone up to rank 4 and 3 on Google and Yahoo! when you search for “Marikina City”. Ang sarap rin ng feeling to know your blogging efforts are worth it.

not another MMO blog…(smile bro…hehe)
don’t get me wrong, i must say that making money should never be the main motivation when creating a blog. I’ve seen people that I came across the net telling me “I’ve clicked on your adsense, please click on my ads as well”. or another blogger who goes to every net cafe just to click on his blogs. these are very lame tricks that will not work on long term.

you’ll have an idea there how I managed to make some extra money while am still working in my full time job.

me too!! i’ve been turning google upside down for posts and ebooks that could teach me how LOL! But don’t get me wrong, it’s not what really motivates me to blog. I have a project for myself, and that is to travel the world bit by bit (when I say bit, I really mean bit haha!) and then sharing it with other people through my blog

to make money online, one got have guts and determination to do what it takes. some chase trends and scandals, copy paste, spam, stuff keywords, etc… just to make more money. some take on every paid post opportunity to make money. either way, the blog loses its soul. how did others do it? they maintain one main blog( (with a soul), and then dozens of others with the main aim of making more money online.

These are all valid points, and I know just how hard it is to juggle a full time job, a blog and other offline duties. It’s not at all easy, but the blogging side of it is fun. If it wasn’t I would have given up ages ago.
As to blogging for money, yes it is possible, I know because I’ve already joined your quest.

Yea I think it is very hard to make good money from just blogs…. I think using blogs as a tool to promote or build SEO for a community website is the best way to go.
